Joining and leaving a pending tournament

To join a tournament, all you need to do is to be logged in to Certusgames and view the upcoming list of tournaments. All future tournaments are listed by their game name, number of players required, and number of players currently registered. All tournaments have a starting time at which you must be present in the game´s dedicated tournament room.

To join a tournament, just click the green "activate" button in the pending tournaments table. Doing so enlists you to the tournament. Please note that tournaments are for VIP players only, so you need to have VIP status both during signup, and in the period when the tournament is held.

If you decide to not to participate in a tournament you already joined, click on the red "leave the tournament" button.

Clicking on a tournament´s "Details" icon shows you the current registered tournament information.

During the tournament

When the tournament is about to start, you should enter the tournament room in the game. When the tournament starts, the game lists which players will play against each other in each round. Currently we only support tournaments in two player games. When this listing has been posted in the chat panel, we advise that the player whose name is listed first, create the table and invite the opponent to the game.

When the game (games if the tournament type is best of 3 or 5) is over, close the table and return to the tournament room. When all games at the current level has finished, the seating for the next round will be printed in the chat panel.

If a player does not show up to the tournament, or leaves before it is finished, please contact the admin in the tournament and ask him/her to take care of the problem.

Currently tournament games are rated, but the system does not use player ratings to calculate who will play against each other.

When the tournament is finished, a winner is declared and receives the (although potentially short) honor of being presented on the front-page of certusgames.com.
